Family Mediation in the UK

Together Mediation service is faster and far more cost-effective than going through an expensive court process. Our sessions minimise conflict by bringing both parties into a dialogue that can result in an agreement

New in 2022, Children Inclusive Mediation for Families

Mediation helps couples to work out agreed arrangements, both in the short and longer term. The delays and costs of court proceedings can be avoided. Agreements benefit any children involved and greatly reduce the stress on the family as a whole

Before making an application to the Court in family matters involving both children and finance, you must have attended a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM) unless certain specific and limited exemptions apply.  The Government has done this because they believe it is better for people to make their own arrangements and going to Court should be viewed as the last resort

There are exemptions to this, which range from domestic abuse, to living abroad or child safety. If, having attended a MIAM either you (or the mediator) decide that you do not want to do mediation, then you do not have to attend

We work with clients throughout England and Wales and our Family Mediation Service provides Expert, Professional Advice
